Listen to your Prospects
For the sale to be effective, salespeople you need to listen to your prospects like a doctor listens to his patient. Properly listening to your prospects also means that you will be in the strong position to explain what you have to offer.
Understand the Product /Services
Have you ever had a purchase experience where you know more about the product than sales person? This is usually not a good thing for the salesman, especially if they are giving out false information. As a sales professional, you must have complete knowledge about the product.
Build Trust
Customers are just like you when they come to you to make purchase most customers are apprehensive. You must be very gentle when dealing with customers, slowly gaining their trust by providing value for them.
Follow-Up
After sales, staying in contact is important to future business. You must realize that this customer can purchase another product in future. Once a sale is made, keep in touch on regular basis, this will build your long-term relationship with your customers.
